Most guest questions are the same five or six things, asked at the worst possible time — the WiFi password at 11pm, the check-out time on the last morning, where the bins go. A welcome page answers all of it in one place the guest can reach from their own phone, so you write it once instead of retyping it for every booking.
Here's what a good one contains, and a template you can copy. At the end, we'll turn it into a single QR code you leave by the door — no app for you to build and nothing for guests to download.
The essentials every welcome page needs
Start with the things guests reach for in the first ten minutes and the last ten minutes of a stay. If those are covered, the messages mostly stop.
- WiFi network name and password — with one-tap copy, because typing a long password on a phone is where the first message comes from.
- Check-in: how to get in (key box code, smart lock, where to park), and what to do if something goes wrong.
- Check-out: the time, and a short list — strip the bed or not, where to leave keys, start the dishwasher.
- House rules: quiet hours, smoking, pets, extra guests — the few that actually matter, not a wall of text.
- A house guide: how the washing machine, hot water, air conditioning, heating, TV and parking actually work in your specific place.
- Local recommendations: where to eat, get coffee and buy groceries, close to the door and sorted by how far they have to walk.
- How to reach you: one clear contact method for the thing you didn't cover.
A copy-paste template
Fill in the blanks. Keep each answer to a line or two — a welcome page people actually read beats a manual they don't.

Turn it into one QR code by the door
A printed folder is out of date the moment the WiFi password changes, and it can't show a guest what's open near them right now. A digital welcome page fixes both: you edit it from your phone and never reprint, and it can carry a live, distance-sorted map of the real places around your rental.
That's what Travellor does. Add your property in about ten minutes, fill in the sections above, and print the QR code it gives you. Guests scan it on arrival and everything opens in their browser — no app, no login. It's free for your first 7 properties.
